Pre-Capture Coding

Use this method of capture when you wish to capture an electronic document and provide the document properties for that document before uploading.

Select the Electronic Capture Type.
Select the Pre-capture coding Coding Method.
Select a catalog and document type to add the document to.
Enter information about the document into the appropriate field text boxes. If any key icons are displayed next to a field, you may select the Perform key-field lookup link to perform a real-time field lookup. One or more of the fields will be updated.
Browse to the location of the local file.
Browsing for an Electronic File
Select the button to begin the upload process.
